Friday afternoon in the nation's capital, the path to the 2026 World Cup will become clearer for 42 of the 48 teams competing in this year's extravaganza.
The U.S. and the tournament's other qualifiers will find out Friday who they will face when play begins in June.
The draw for next year’s FIFA World Cup took place at the Kennedy Centre in Washington DC, the USA, which is one of the co-hosts of the tournament. The ceremony drew all 48 teams in their respective groups.
The World Cup final is scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
